Doyle Whitsett
Staff attorney, VA claims and appeals
Doyle, an Army veteran, takes VA compensation claims and appeals, and prepares clients for their exams.
Doyle served in the Army before he went to law school, and he filed his own VA claim along the way. He knows what the C&P exam room is like and prepares clients for it: what the examiner will ask, what to say about a bad day and not only a good one. He takes the VA claims and appeals that come through Outpost, and he'll read a rating decision with you line by line.

How Doyle came to this work
Doyle enlisted young, served several years and came home to a rating decision he didn't understand. He worked through it with a volunteer at a veterans' hall, and the experience pointed him toward the law.
He keeps a copy of his own first denial letter in a desk drawer, and he shows it to new clients who think theirs is unusual.
